This story takes place in the early sixties in a twelve block area around Hamilton Junior High School in the Northern part of Baltimore City. If you didn’t live thru that era, it would be hard to imagine how things were back then. There were no Middle Schools yet, they were called Junior High Schools.
There weren’t any cell phones, pagers, CDs, or MP3 players. There were no Nintendo, Sega, X-Box, or any other video games. Facebook, Myspace, the internet, and personal computers didn’t exist yet. TV’s, if you were fortunate enough have one, only received three channels, and there were no shopping malls.
With all of these things missing there was an abundance of one thing, time. The kids had lots and lots of idle time on their hands. With so much time and nothing to do, that lead to boredom, young romance, and mischief.
Some of the encounters in this story are true with a few details changed to protect the guilty, the innocent, and the just plain stupid. This book was written for those who went to Junior High School and want to relive some memories, those in Middle School who are curious about how things were back then, and everyone in between.
